FREE events to enjoy with the kids this weekend (Austin Area)

BookPeople: Saturday 8/18@11:30AM. Everybody, lend us your ears and join us for a party celebrating the elegant and elaborate letter “E”. We’ll read Edward the Emu along with other exceedingly expressive and emotive tales that will leave you in an extraordinarily ecstatic mood!

Barnes and Noble: 8/18 11am – 1 pm. Children ages 4 and up are invited to the Klutz Explore the Galaxy Hands-On Learning event. Kids will have fun designing and coloring stickers for decorating the night sky and space-themed scenes. Space is limited. Ask bookseller for sign-up sheet. Whole FoodsFundays on the Plaza: Join us every Sunday morning for a Sunday Funday courtesy of Health Starts Here. Classes are free, but you might want to bring a water bottle and a yoga/work out mat.

AISD Back to School Bash: Saturday 8/18 9 am-12. The Austin Independent School District invites its students and families to attend the annual Back-to-School Bash.  Families can learn about the district’s many programs and services that help students have a great school year, get access to free immunizations from Seton, participate in a safety walk and more. Free shuttle transportation to the event is available every 30 minutes beginning at 8:30 a.m. from the following locations:
