This past Sunday, my hubby and I took our kids to see Yo Gabba Gabba’s “It’s Time to Dance” Live Tour at the Cedar Park Center. It was our first time there and oh my! it’s not only huge, but it’s clean (no stinky movie theater/arena smell) the customer service was outstanding, everyone was nice and really sweet. The parking was a breeze, there was a $10 parking fee but it was worth it, we were right in front of the main entrance and we got there kinda late. They also offer some awesome food, including Smokey Mo’s Barbeque, Pizza Hut, Top Dog and lots more.
We got the chance to meet Evin from Foodgoodlaundrybad.com, she’s super cool (just like I thought 🙂 and her kids are soooo cute!!!
Our 5 yr old Diego was a big fan of Yo Gabba Gabba not that long ago, but since he is a “big boy” he wasn’t all that excited, but it was like he remembered every song and he thought it was really awesome to see DJ Lance and the whole gang right there in front of him and at the end of the show he was convinced they are magical. Our 18 month old Karyme, was a little scared at the beginning (we were fairly close to the giant characters) But once she recognized the songs the dancing and singing (yes… singing she thinks she can sing :-P) didn’t stop! There was no end of knee bouncing, giggling, and squealing in that arena, everyone seem to have a blast, from the smallest baby to the silly daddy dressed as DJ Lance.
I thought the performance was great – exactly what I’d expected. The characters looked and sounded exactly like they do on the TV show. They sang all of their most popular songs, including “Party in My Tummy”, “Hold Still” and “I Like Bugs.” And I am not ashamed to admit I sang along to most of them too. Check out the cuteness:
Needless to say my kids are still in bliss, and both Karyme and Diego are still sleeping with their new stuffed Foofa and Brobee respectively. It was their first concert and it won’t be the last!
There are many stops left on the Yo Gabba Gabba “It’s Time to Dance” Live Tour. Check here to see if they will be visiting your area soon!
**Disclosure: My family was given complimentary tickets in order for me to review the show. This did not affect the honest reporting of my opinions.
