Similac Simply Smart Bottles Review & Giveaway!!!

My two other kids were breastfed only, and I still pumped and bottle fed them but I have no experience with formula. So I ask my friend to help me review the new Similac Simply Smart Bottles. She was really excited!

This product is really awesome design. The shaped nipple makes it easier to switch from breastfeeding to bottle feeding. The easy mix is a great idea when you are formula feeding plus the on the go powder cap is perfect for a busy moms.

They also feature an open design which allows for easy cleaning, even with the mixer piece. It was easy to remove for cleaning.

The only thing I can complaint about is that it doesn’t help much with the colic and bubbles, the mixer attachments only makes more bubbles. If you have a baby without colic issues than this bottle is perfect for you!

Lua Cover Review & Giveaway!!!

Baby Gael will be born in November when it starts getting cold so I am very thankful I will have some covers for his carseat. I was really excited to give the Lua a try. We received the Lua in a brown with dots pattern, which I don’t see on their website. But it’s nice!

The Lua Cover is very easy to use, just throw it over the car seat and you have instant protection from the sun, rain, wind, snow, and all those people with dirty hands that think it’s ok to touch your baby. The Lua is so much better than the blankets people usually use to cover their babies, they don’t fall, drag and the Lua has a whole at the top to make sure you have a good grip on the car seat.

The hole on the top also allows you to look in and check on the baby. This one also has many purposes and when it’s time to nurse your baby,  you can just slip it over your head and use it as a nursing cover. They come in many different patterns for you to choose from and the fabric is light and breathable. It is also machine washable which is the best feature a baby product can have in my opinion. Not to mention it can be used as a shopping cart & highchair cover!!

When my husband saw this next item he told me he should have invented it. He used to use towels and blankets to do this with our other two kids. I told him someone beat him to it, and I am glad they did because I think it is a wonderful idea! I had my first in 2006 and I most say maternity wear has improved a lot in these 6 years. Everything is more fitted and more flattering then it used to be. And [bump] maternity is no exception. They make some adorable tops with very cute messages right on the belly. I got the [bump]tastic Maroc top in brown and it says “baby under manufacturing process” very cute!

I noticed it does comes a little smaller than the other tops I have, the picture on the website makes them look like the have a very open neckline but mine fit just right. It is really comfortable and I love the ruffled sleeves.

As most of you know I am pregnant with our third child, and he’ll be born in November so it’s going to be kinda cold. My kids are always bundled up the first couple months of their life and baby Gael will be no exception since he’s coming at the beginning of winter. So I was beyond thrilled when I got a chance to review a Minky Couture Blanket!

I heard about Minky Couture before but had never touched or seen a blanket in person, so I was beyond words when I received it. It is softer than any other blanket I had ever touched. It is also bigger than the other blankets we have waiting for baby Gael. The sewing is very well done and the minky and satin ruffle combination are truly gorgeous. We received the Tyler: Green and Brown Dots with Brown Swirl and Brown Ruffle and I can’t wait for our son to come to bundle him up with it!

Fashion Forward Maternity Review & Giveaway!!!

I had a really hard time choosing the items I wanted, I knew I needed something cute for my baby shower but I also wanted something cute and not too dressy to wear on the weekends. I also wanted to make sure it was comfortable, and something I could use more than once without looking like a picture! I chose 2 Olian dresses, the Chloe dress and the Cap sleeve dress in the orchid color. I also got the Lola Floral Blouse by Olian.

Both dresses are gorgeous and fit perfectly. The Cap sleeve dress is a little too long for me but I am very short so it happens often and I’m used to it. The Lola Floral Blouse is very see through and you really have to wear it with a cami underneath. Overall I loved all the clothing and I am very impressed by the quality and how well maintain the clothing is.

Shipping was super fast and I had all items by Friday the same week, I was very pleased. They come wrapped in tissue and you wouldn’t be able to tell they are rentals, everything loved brand new.  The shipping is also Free both ways, so unless you need to exchange something there’s no extra charge.

They have a great selection of maternity clothes and almost everything is the same price $23.50, which is pretty affordable considering most maternity dresses are no less than $100! They also have great customer service and they send everything to get professionally cleaned so unless you stained something you should treat it just like your regular clothes.

Daddy Scrubs Review & Giveaway!!!

My husband has been in the room when my two other kids were born, so obviously he’ll be there this time. He is super supportive and nice, but he is on allowed to leave the side of my head while I am pushing (I just don’t want him to see anything that might scar him for life! lol) So when I got the chance to review Daddy Scrubs I was so excited to give him something to make this day extra special for him.

I believe daddy needs to be comfortable during labor too, I’ve have really long labors so I always pack stuff to make sure he is entertained and comfy. He chose the blue Daddy Scrubs with the Edgy font. When it arrived I was impressed with the quality and how comfortable and nice they look. One of my favorite things is that they are perfectly fine to sleep in so if my labor happens to be late he can get a little sleep while wearing these.

Lansinoh Nursing Products Review & Giveaway!!!

I keep telling you but just in case you didn’t know, I was a fully breastfeeding mama with both of my kids and plan to do the same with baby Gael. So, nursing products are very important to me, I really love nursing pillows, la

olin and frozen peas!!  😛 So when I was given the chance to review some awesome Lansinoh products I was thrilled!!!

 

For my review I was given several Lansinoh products including:

Lansinoh® HPA® Lanolin: This one was a life saver with my other two kids! It is extremely soothing and heals cracked nipples really fast. It is safe for the baby so you don’t have to wipe it before feeding which is great if your nipples are already sore.

THERA°PEARL 3-in-1 Breast Therapy: I am so excited about this one! Like I said on the top, I used to use frozen peas to soothe sore breasts when the milk comes in and you might also get mastitis, this awesome pearl packs can be warmed or cooled to ease your pain and discomfort. I hope I don’t need them but it is wonderful to know I have them just in case. This could also be use to ease the pain when trying to stop nursing.

Lansinoh® LatchAssist® Nipple Everter: A little bit of TMI, I had flat nipples with my son, I didn’t even know until he was born and I was trying to nurse, needless to say it was very painful and nothing seem to help them come out. Then with my daughter they had gone back a little bit again and I needed the help of a nipple shield, which was wonderful at the beginning but after my daughter became dependent on it and wouldn’t latch without it. It was a very painful process again and it took a lot of effort. I am very excited to get the help from the Nipple everter without having to use a shield this time. It also comes with a little case to make sure it always stays clean.

Soothies® by Lansinoh® Gel Pads: These were also super helpful with my other two, when your nipples are sore, cracked or even bleeding this soothing gel pads are heaven sent! They provide an instant cooling relieve, and the best part is that you can clean them and use them more than once until you are all healed.

Lansinoh® mOmma® Rocking Feeding Bottle: This little bottle is so cute! I love mOmma and it’s ergonomic design, I can already imagine my little monster holding on to his bottle. It is BPA Free and comes in slow, medium or fast flows.

Disposable Nursing Pads: If you ever become a full on cow like it always happens to me  😆 you’ll need some nursing pads you can trust. I love Lansinoh’s they are super absorbent and soft.

Lansinoh® Diaper Rash Ointment: This is a new one for me. I had never tried to so I decided to use it on my daughter. It worked really well, she has instant relieve once I put it on and by the next diaper change there was no trace of a rash.

I love the Lansinoh brand and I’ve been using it since I had my son 6 years ago, many brands and products come and go and I most say Lansinoh has never disappointed me and continues to deliver wonderful results.

I had the opportunity to review Lansinoh’s new line of feeding products called mOmma. I was so excited because everything was gorgeous!!! For my review I received:

mOmma Soft Bib: This is by far the coolest bib I’ve ever seen! It is made of a waterproof material and comes with 2 removable cotton bibs for easy cleaning. The colors are gorgeous and it is super flexible and adorable!

mOmma Warm Plate: Hot water is poured into the plate through a special hole to keep food warm during mealtime. It has two compartments, it has a wide non-slip base.

mOmma Soft Spoon and Fork: There’s 2 things I love about these. First it has an ergonomic design so it is easy for little hands to hold and second it comes with a cover that not only makes it great for taking it places with you but it can also be used to extend the handle. It also has a “roly-poly” which maintains it in the upright position to avoid contact with surfaces.

mOmma Non-Spill Cup: Again the ergonomic design is wonderful for little hands, it also rocks like the spoon and fork and it has a non-spill system which only delivers the liquid when the baby is sucking on it. It comes with a lid which most cups don’t and like all other mOmma products is BPA Free.

mOmma Cup with Straw: All the wonderful feature on the non-spill cup but with the straw option. Usually cups with straws aren’t non-spill but this cup is.

I can’t tell you enough how impressed I am with this nursing pillow, the features are not only great but things I have actually wished for while nursing my kids in the past. Here are some of the reasons why I personally love this nursing pillow:

  • Having water withing reach has been essential to me while nursing and sometimes you forget or just don’t have anywhere to put it, the side pockets are great to hold anything you might need including that very important water! Not to mention your cellphone, there’s nothing worse than sitting for a feeding and having your phone ring once your baby has latched and you are both comfortable!
  • I love the back support which is such a big complain with nursing moms. I used to put pillows and need help to get comfortable every time, well not anymore!
  • I am a little embarrassed to admit I have fallen asleep while nursing and then wake up horrified to think I could have dropped my baby (I actually know someone who did drop their baby like that!) well it is obviously not recommended but it gives me some peace of mind to know I can strap the pillow to my waist and the perimeter bolster with help the baby stay in place.
  • And last I love everything machine washable!!! And nursing pillows gets so dirty it’s wonderful to know you can just toss it on the washer and forget about it! Who has time to hand wash when you are new mom!?!?!

Boogie Wipes Review & Giveaway

Do your kids get stuffy when they are teething too? My daughter does and it really brakes my heart, none of her teeth have been as problematic as her molars, Oh my! She’s been stuffy, moody and sleepy. After a week of wiping her nose with tissues it started looking raw and red. I had the chance to review Boogie wipes and they were heaven sent!

Boogie Wipes are little saline wipes to help dissolve and clean little ones noses. They are way ticker than regular wipes and much more gentle. They come in different scents, including menthol which is awesome when they are all stuffed up. All scents are alcohol free and moisturize with vitamin E and Aloe.

We tried the Fresh Scent ones and not only they smell really good but they are super soothing and soft. My daughter hasn’t ran away from me when I try to clean her nose since we started using these. Her nose is also much better no more red and sore little nose! I really recommend having some Boogie Wipes on hand at all times for allergies, teething and flu season, they really are little life savers!

Cloud B Tranquil Turtle Review and Giveaway!

I was super lucky to receive the brand new Tranquil Turtle from Cloud b to review. Since my baby is not here yet, I decided to let my daughter give it a try. We’ve been struggling a bit trying to get her to sleep on her new bed so this came at a perfect time! The Tranquuil Turtle is gorgeous and so well made, I instantly feel in love with the soft fabric and wonderful colors, it also features soothing sounds and it projects a magical underwater light effect that even I was amazed by with a wave motion. You can adjust brightness using Slide Control. Auto shut-off after 23 minutes. 3 AA batteries included.

But does it really help children sleep? I went on with my daughters regular routine, bath, book, lay in bed for a little bit but for this last part I made sure to turn on the Tranquil Turtle and placed it next to her. She was fascinated with the lights and sounds, and within 5 minutes she was asleep! I can’t tell you how happy that made me, we’ve had a few bad nights since (she is teething) But I can really see an improvement on how fast she falls asleep.

I would recommend this to all moms who are training their kids to stay in there beds. I can honestly tell you it really helped. I might have to buy a second one for my little baby since my daughter loves this one so much! It would also make a wonderful baby shower gift, I am sure little babies would love this awesome little turtle.

Hot Slings Baby Carrier Review and Giveaway

I never used a baby carrier or sling with our son. It just seem dangerous and weird to me at the time, keep in mind this was 6 years ago. With our daughter someone gave me a handmade sling and I was still uncertain of the safety, I still used it quite a bit  and loved the idea, since my daughter hated her infant car seat from day 1. But the idea of trusting a handmade sling with my baby’s life didn’t seem right. So this time when I was offered to try a Hot Slings Baby Carrier I was thrilled!

First of their patterns are beautiful! And comes in such a variety of colors you are sure to fine one you’ll love. I chose the Moonlit Sky pattern and I have to say the picture online doesn’t do it justice, it is gorgeous! You need to make sure you choose the right size for a good fit, but not to worry they offer a sizing chart on their website so you can make the right choice.
